Beyond the call of duty

A Gettysburg woman was able to fulfill her wish of visiting the Pennsylvania Farm Show last week, thanks to the generosity of a local ambulance provider.

Arlene Mays, who resides at Transitions Health Care, traveled to the Farm Show Jan. 14, her first time, with two volunteer emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and an free ambulance from Gettysburg's Caring Hearts Ambulance.
